A. Application Categories and Majors

The academic year of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business is divided into two semesters, that is, the autumn semester is usually from September to January of next year, and the spring semester is usually from March to July.

1. Academic Students

The undergraduate program lasts for 4 years that accepts applications from international students in four majors including Data Science and Big Data Technology, Software Engineering, Communication Engineering, and Cross-Border E-Commerce, with fall admission only.

Application period: February 15 to June 15 each year

2. Non-academic Students

The duration of schooling is from one semester to one academic year, and classes are available in both the spring and autumn semesters. All four majors that accept international students are open to non-academic students.

Application period for the fall semester: February 15 to June 15 each year

Application period for the spring semester: August 15 to November 15 every year

A. Eligibility for Application

1. Non-Chinese citizens who are at least 18 years of age as of the date of application with physical and mental health and good conduct (if the applicants are under 18 years of age and their parents are not permanently residing in China, their parents must appoint a foreigner or a Chinese permanently residing in China as the applicant's guardian and provide relevant supporting materials).
     2. Students must abide by Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and traditions, and have excellent academic performance.
       3. Degree Requirements

(1) Non-academic students should have a high school diploma or above at the time of admission.

(2) Applicants for a bachelor's degree should have the equivalent or above of graduating from high school.

B. Application Process

1. Registration Application

According to their own declaration type, international students fill in the Application Form for International Students of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business and submit it before the application deadline.

2. Preparation of Application Materials

Applicant students are required to prepare application materials according to the following requirements.

(1) Chinese language advanced students (non-academic)
① Fill out and print the Application Form for International Students of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business, sign in person and paste a 2-inch photo.
② Medical examination report of foreigners
③ Proof of no criminal record
④ Biography (from elementary school to present)
⑤ Scanned copies of original high school diploma and transcripts. Fresh students can provide the original electronic version of the pre-graduation certificate issued by the high school attended or scanned copies of the original. (The original paper copy of the above materials must be presented at the time of check-in) Original or notarized document in Chinese or English. (Fresh high school graduates must submit their high school diplomas, original transcripts and translations after enrollment as specified by our School.)
⑥ Scanned copy of the original degree certificate and transcript of the highest degree. If applicants have not yet graduated from college, submit school certificate and transcripts. All materials must be in Chinese or English. If the original materials are in other languages, a notarized document in Chinese or English is required. (The original paper copy must be presented at the time of check-in)
⑦ A valid passport (passport valid for more than 6 months, including extension), and a copy of the personal information page with photo in the valid passport must be submitted; if applicants are already in mainland China, the current valid visa page or residence permit page, and the entry stamp page must be submitted also.
⑧ Applicants who are already studying in other universities in China must provide a letter of recommendation with contact information from the Office of International Students or college of the School they belong to. A transfer certificate and academic transcripts from the original school are also required.
⑨ 6 copies of 2-inch passport photos and 4 copies of 1-inch passport photo.

(2) Bachelor degree
① Fill out and print the Application Form for International Students of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business, sign in person and paste a 2-inch photo.
② Medical examination report of foreigners
③ Proof of no criminal record
④ Biography (from elementary school to present)
⑤ Personal introduction video
⑥ Scanned copies of original high school diploma and transcripts. Fresh students can provide the original electronic version of the pre-graduation certificate issued by the high school attended or scanned copies of the original. (The original paper copy of the above materials must be presented at the time of check-in) Original or notarized document must be in Chinese or English. (Fresh high school graduates must submit their high school diplomas, original transcripts and translations after enrollment as specified by our School.)
⑦ Copy of Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) Level 4 (or above) certificate and transcript (original must be presented at the time of application) or a scanned copy of the original official language proficiency certificate of IELTS 5.5/TOEFL 70 or equivalent level of English for non-English speaking applicants. (Original must be presented at the time of application)
⑧ 4 copies of resent 2-inch frontal bareheaded photos and 4 copies of resent 1-inch frontal bareheaded photos.
⑨ Recommendation letters from two teachers of the course.
⑩ A valid passport (passport valid for more than 6 months, including extension), and a copy of the personal information page with photo in the valid passport must be submitted; if you are already in mainland of China, the current valid visa page or residence permit page, and the entry stamp page must be submitted also.
⑪ In addition to the above materials, the applicant must provide transcripts and proof of enrollment from the university where he/she is studying.
⑫ Applicants who are already studying in other universities in China must provide letters of recommendation with contact information from the Office of International Students or college of the School they belong to. A transfer certificate and academic transcripts from the original school are also required.
⑬ If both or one of the parents is a Chinese citizen and settled in a foreign country, and he/she has foreign nationality at birth, he/she does not have Chinese nationality. The application as an international student requires a valid foreign passport or proof of nationality document for at least 4 years (inclusive) and a record of actual residence in a foreign country for at least 2 years within the last 4 years (until April 30 of the year of admission) (actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps).
⑭ Residents of the motherland of China (mainland), Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who apply for admission to our School as international students at the undergraduate level after immigrating and acquiring foreign nationality should meet the requirements of Article 13.

3. Documents Submission

According to the requirements for application materials of international students, the application materials should be submitted to the College of International Education of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business, and the application materials can be submitted in one of the following ways:

(1) Applicant submits in person or entrusts others to submit;

(2) Mail it to the International Student Office of the College of International Education of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business (Sanshui Campus).

(3) After scanning, send it to admissions mailbox by email, use the application materials as the subject of the email, and send all application materials in one email.

(4) After receiving the complete application materials from the applicant, the College of International Education of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business will provide the applicant with a bank account number for the application fee transfer. (The application fee is RMB 600 yuan）

4. Review and Acceptance

Foreign students admitted to Guangzhou College of Technology and Business will receive the Notice of Acceptance for International Students of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business and Visa Application Form for International Students Coming to China (Form JW202) issued by the College of International Education of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business before the start of the school year.

5. Visa Application and Enrollment

The accepted international students should apply for X1/X2/ visas to study in China with their ordinary passports, the Notice of Acceptance of International Students of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business, Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Coming to China (Form JW202) and other materials required for the visa at the embassy or consulate of the country where the foreign students are studying in China. If they study in China for more than 6 months, they need to apply for an "X1" visa. They need to go to the Foreign Students Office to convert the X1 visa to a study residence permit within 30 days after arriving in China. If the study duration is less than 6 months, they can apply for "X2" visa. Then they should report to the College of International Education of Guangzhou College of Technology and Business with the above materials within the date specified in the Acceptance Letter.
